Welcome
to LRCRSA of Xi'an University of Technology |
The Laser Radar Center
of Remote Sensing of Atmosphere (LRCRSA), funded with over 2 million RMB
by Xi'an University of Technology, was established in Sep. 2005. The
main role of LRCRSA is to meet with the services of teaching and science
researches, to provide the impetus for the development of the academic
discipline's construction, to expand new direction of the academic
subjects, and to train a number of high-level specialty talents in the
field of laser remote sensing.
LRCRSA has been capable of studying the main atmospheric parameters
(atmospheric temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, etc) and
the optical properties of atmosphere (aerosol extinction and
backscattering coefficients, optical thickness, visibility,
particle-shaped matters such as clouds and aerosols, etc) with laser
radar (lidar) technique.
Now, LRCRSA are devoted to the research of the basic theory for new-type
laser lidar remote sensing and practical measuring system. Especially
LRCRSA are focused on the study of the development of high-efficiency
and miniaturization type of lidar system in the field of measurement of
temperature and humidity in day-time with high precision, and are making
efforts to develop a lidar system with high-efficiency, multi-function,
multi-wavelength and its corresponding practicality system.
Professor Dengxin Hua, the principal of LRCRSA, has engaged in the field
of basic theory of remote sensing of atmosphere and related products
developments in Japan for over 10 years. The first multi-function laser
radar system in the world developed by Prof. Hua aroused peoples'
attention and had so tremendous influence in the field of environmental
and meteorological study that it was then reported by Japanese Economic
News, Japanese Industrial Journal and MX TV station of Tokyo. With his
efforts for many years, his achievements have been published by several
top-ranking optical Journals such as Optics Letters, Applied Optics and
so on.
LRCRSA has been provided with many equipments, which include high power
single frequency pulsed Nd:YAG laser, telescope receiver, optical
components and detectors, and other auxiliary apparatus necessary to do
lidar researches. The research of LRCRSA, not only keeps up with the
tendency of international laser radar detecting technology but also
develops kinds of international cooperation. At all times, LRCRSA are
dedicated to related updated researches, and also have founded a
long-term academic communication and cooperation study with several
companies and universities overseas. In particular, Professor Takao
Kobayshi, a famous international lidar expert, has been invited and
employed to be an adjunct professor in Xi'an University of Technology in
Oct.2005. Moreover, LRCRSA is also constantly to invite many well-known
experts internal or external to give lectures.
